We dug through a lot of hard drives for this.

Decades of evidence, neatly arranged.

Part of it is self-education, experiments run on nothing beyond curiosity. The rest is client work, each piece designed for one client and one project and nobody else. Branding, logos, posters, packaging, T-shirts, murals, photography, video and sound, plus a few random graphics that wandered in from out in the cold.

Consider this the Diamonds in the deck, a mix of recent and legacy work that’s still filling out. Filter by category or just wander aimlessly, and be sure to check back often.

Some of the older pieces were made when a drop shadow was still a radical move. They’re here anyway, for the record. Any resemblance to the late nineties is entirely intentional.

Welcome to optiflux.com (the "Site"), operated by Optiflux/MediaTribe, a freelance design studio and sole proprietorship ("Optiflux," "I," "me," or "my"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of it. You may not use the Site to transmit unlawful, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material, to submit false or misleading information through any form, or to interfere with the Site's operation or security (including by scraping it in a way that burdens the server, or attempting to gain unauthorized access).

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, illustrations, photography, motion work, code, layouts, and design work, belongs to Optiflux/MediaTribe or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Work shown in the portfolio may also belong to, or be subject to the rights of, the clients, collaborators, photographers, and other creators involved, and is displayed with their permission. Third-party names, logos, and marks that appear on the Site belong to their respective owners. Nothing on the Site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used commercially without my prior written consent.

The content on the Site, including portfolio pieces, descriptions of services, and general commentary about design, branding, and web development, is for general information only. Browsing the Site or sending a message through a form does not create a client relationship, an engagement, or a contract between you and Optiflux/MediaTribe. A working relationship begins only when we both sign a written proposal or agreement, which sets out the scope, fees, schedule, revisions, ownership of the finished work, and any other terms for that project. If that agreement differs from these Terms, the agreement controls for the project. Unless the agreement says otherwise, the client receives the finished work product, meaning high-resolution files in industry-standard formats, with a perpetual right to use them for the purposes they were created for. Optiflux/MediaTribe retains ownership of the native working and source files (such as .ai, .psd and .indd files), which are not part of the deliverables unless purchased separately under a written buy-out agreement.

When you submit information through a contact, inquiry, or partnership form, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Sending a form does not guarantee a reply within any particular time, and it does not obligate me to accept a project, provide a quote, or enter into an engagement. I may decline any inquiry at my discretion. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the forms before we have agreed to work together.

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including my theScroll site and social media platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. I do not endorse, and I am not responsible for, the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any third-party site or service, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that it will display identically in every browser or on every device.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Optiflux/MediaTribe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if I have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Optiflux/MediaTribe and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

I may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
